MAJOR ACTIVITIES

• Improve teachers’ competencies by updating and extending teachers’ skills of teaching through CPDs.
• Layout of ICT infrastructure in schools to facilitate the use of ICT in the management of
• schools by equipping school administrators with basic computing skills through workshops, seminars etc.
• Orientation on how to Safeguard ICT Facilities in Schools
• Integration of ICTs in other subjects in schools.
• Promote ICT facilities as a way of continuity in the teaching and learning during lockdown of schools due to unforeseen events such as COVID 19 pandemic.
• Fostering Computer Science related skills in various research and innovations in Learners and Teachers that can contribute to National Development (Capacity Building).
• To share ideas on how best other countries have utilized the subject to improve the teaching and learning process.
• Educating Learners/Teachers more about Social Media and Cyber-Crimes (Technology and Digital Literacy). Promote the learning of Computer Science in Special schools.
• Offer strategies on how learner’s performance can be improved in computer studies/ science related subjects to teachers.
• Policy formulation and implementation.
• Robbing for more computer related equipment to balance the computer-pupil ratio in schools
• Robbing for scholarships for teachers of Computer Science to ensure that capacity is built
